This is the next new green oak frame on the list, due to get cracking in a week or so. It’s quite hard to show in one picture, but basically it’s a single storey extension that creates a nice courtyard space behind the existing barn.
The king post trusses will be gently flared at the apex to take the heavier ridge beam, which gives jointing space for feature wind bracing. All will be exposed within the bedrooms that this provides.
