Large contemporary extension

We have started work on one of the biggest jobs this year; a very large contemporary extension just North of Bury St Edmunds.

The existing house is an adjoined pair of flint faced cottages, typical for the area. This extension envelops the back of the building adding a massive kitchen, lounge, dining area and utility space. Almost all of the exposed walls are to be direct glazed, flooding the house with light.

The following artistic impressions give you an idea.

The frame is very clean and simple, with no diagonal bracing  – boo hoo! 🙁  . Nevertheless, the glazing and straight lines will look very clean and fresh.

The guy is wrapped up in the following picture as I thought it looked a little breezy!
