This four bay cart lodge has two open bays for vehicle storage, plus two smaller closed in bays for timber and wine store, now that’s what I call a combination!
This is one of the final additions to a long term restoration of a C16th farmhouse and associated barns. It is certainly not a generic ‘frontage’ type building and should compliment the setting nicely.
The two open car port bays are to be fully framed in oak, including the in-fill detail (studs & rafters). Due to the lower pitched roof (below 40°), I have stuck with a king post design as this performs better structurally. King post…
